Skill Building and Livelihood

The Centre for Entrepreneurship Development empowers women and girls by providing skill-oriented training programs in diverse vocations. These trainings have become viable livelihood opportunities, enabling women to achieve financial independence despite mobility restrictions and limited access to economic resources. By equipping them with marketable skills, we are foster self-reliance, confidence, and a pathway to sustainable livelihoods.

Innovations

Health Attendant Training

Gram Niyojan Kendra initiated the innovative training program for young men and women, equipping them to become skilled Health Attendants. This initiative addresses the growing demand for elderly and patient care, particularly in urban areas while providing meaningful livelihood opportunities to the youth and women.

500 individuals have been trained, with over 70% actively working as Health Attendants, providing essential care services while securing sustainable livelihoods for themselves.

Formation of Women’s Collectives for Livelihood Promotion

SHGs are also strategically formed to empower women through sensitizing them on various issues with a view to facilitating their understanding, knowledge and skills  to deal with their various problems and initiating  action. Across all program sites, women’s collectives have been formed to mobilise, empower and support women towards economic empowerment.

Special Initiative on Skill Development of Women Prisoners at Dasna Jail, Ghaziabad for providing livelihood skills in tailoring to female inmates of Dasna Jail in Ghaziabad.
